Education & Growth Programs for Youth
Youth Sunday School - FAITH CHALLENGE!
6th-12th Grades - Faith Challenge, a ministry for Preteens and Teens will meet in the newly redecorated Undercroft. Youth will enjoy a deeper study of Bible stories, enjoy social time and team activities to help build relationships. Lessons include movement and activities. Community outreach projects will also be a part of their Sunday morning experience along with great snacks and music.
Club 45 (4th - 5th grade)
Club 45 is a very special club just for 4th and 5th graders. Under the leadership of Kathy Smith, this program meets in the Undercroft on EPIC Wednesdays (first Wednesday of each month, 5:30-dinner, 6:30-program). Club 45 combines Bible Study through a variety of games and other fun activities to help our 4th & 5th grade students grow and mature in their relationships with Christ.
Junior High EYC: (6th-8th grade)
The Junior EYC program meets weekly (Wednesday nights, 5:30-7:30pm) in the undercroft of Christ Church as well as various outings (lock-ins, bowling, skating, etc) on special occasions and monthly community service projects. Dinner is provided every Wed night. You do not need to be a member of Christ Church to participate in our J. H. programs. If Guitar Hero/DDR on wii, movies and sports while talking about God sounds good to you, then Jr. EYC is where you need to be!!
To learn more about the Junior EYC, contact Rev. Tim Backus (432-5115/TBackus@christ-church.net) or the Junior EYC Youth Minister, Gresham Dale, (816-752-3915/Gresham.Dale@yahoo.com. Your kids will love it while growing closer with God!
Senior High EYC: (9th-12th grade)
The senior high program meets every Wednesday night from 7-8:30pm at O'Zone Pizza on 12th Ave (no charge for pizza!) for fellowship and program except for the first Wed of the month when we join the entire Christ Church family for EPIC Wednesdays (EPIC Weds are 5:30-7:30; dinner and events for all children and adults). We also have various special outings and events and have committed to monthly local service projects as well as our annual mission trip. You do not need to be a member of Christ Church to participate.
As a senior high community, we strive towards being intentionally grounded in Christ and one another. We seek to be real with Christ by wrestling with honest questions through conversation and not believing blindly. And sometimes, we just joke around and have fun. But hey! That's who we are! We also look forward to meeting you and having you with us! Contact Rev. Tim Backus (432-5115/TBackus@christ-church.net) for any questions.
