MISSION TRIP 2010 WRAP-UP REPORT
Christ Church 2010 Mission Trip was a HUGE success!!
The 23 youth and adult ambassadors from Christ Church are back from another INCREDIBLE mission trip experience with Group Workcamps. This marks the 4th annual mission trip and was an even larger success than anticipated. Combined with 400 other youth and adults from all over the country, this mission trip made a strong impact on the community of Spring Grove, PA by providing the opportunity to improve the homes and lives of 60 households in need, regardless of the reason.
This experience would not have been possible without the incredible support and encouragement from Christ Church parish. Mission trips make a huge impact on those whom are served and a dramatic effect on the spiritual and relational lives of those who come to serve. This was a truly spirit-filled experience that brought a lot of laughs and hard work, leading to a youth group that became closer with one another and with God. Youth Events in the Diocese and in Province IV
Several times throughout the year, youth events are organized on a larger scale throughout the diocese and beyond. All youth are encouraged to participate in these events including diocesan events at our local conference center, Camp Beckwith, and programs such as Winterlight at Kanuga, the Diocesan Conference Center in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. These youth events are filled with fun activities, games and music that will rock your socks off, friendships that can last a lifetime, and programs and worship that lead to a dramatic impact on a person’s spiritual life. The office of youth ministry will publish more information about all of these phenomenal youth offerings on the bulletin boards outside of the youth minister’s office.
