A group of Twenty to Forty somethings drawn together with the common purpose of aiding our Christ Church congregants and improving the surrounding community through public service. YAF is made up of those members of our parish community who are in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. We have members who are married, single, single again, have young children, have grown children, have no children or any variation of the above. We have events usually on a monthly basis that are either social, spiritual, or service related.
Socials
These are an amazing way to enjoy the company of friends and share fellowship in Christ in a social environment. These events include an Octoberfest Party, Christmas Party & Shrimp Boil.
Service
These activities are opportunities for us to get out into our community together to share the gifts that God has given us, and to learn and grow through our shared ministry. Volunteers provide assistance to the myriad of outreach ministries of Christ Church including Service to Others, Bereavement Hospitality Ministry, Flower Ministry, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School Teachers. Two major service activities are our Thanksgiving Community Meal, on the evening before Thanksgiving, and our Summer Outreach Meal at Camp Happy Sands.
