The Christ Church Endowment Fund
The Christ Church Endowment Fund was established in 1981 as a non-profit corporation operated for religious, charitable, and educational purposes. Its purpose is to accumulate funds that can provide for needs Christ Church may have that current budgets cannot accommodate. The trust instrument gives the trustees sole discrection as to how funds are expended. The three (3) trustees are nominated by the rector and elected by the vestry to serve (staggered) nine-year terms.
The trustees have, over the years, provided funding for a number of important parish projects, including a new telephone communications system, the establishment of the parish columbarium, and assistance in completing the repairs after Hurricane Ivan. The trustees have adopted a policy of contributing a specified percentage of income to parish projects when the principal of the fund exceeds $1 million. The trustees of the Endowment Fund will be glad to speak with parishioners interested in structuring trusts or other beneficial financial arrangements for the future good of Christ Church. The rector or the parish administrator will gladly put you in touch with the trustees.
