Service to Others Ministries
Service to Others (STO)
The mission statement of the Christ Church Service to Others Committee is to follow the example of Christ in serving the needs of the poor and neglected of our community through allocation of stewardship funds to local programs, specific projects, and by leadership and example to inspire fellow parishioners to greater service to others. STO strives to follow Matthew 25: 35-36 — “for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’”

Breakfast Ministry – Christ Church has partnered with Greater Union Baptist Church in providing a hot, nourishing breakfast and takeaway food bag for the homeless of our community. Team members meet at 7:00 am each Sunday to help set up, cook, and serve food for approximately 100 guests. Team members have found this a very rewarding ministry working with the wonderful people at Greater Union. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Hilda & Ray Jones, Team Captains
