Some photos of Christ Church's beautiful windows, taken for us by Ted Brown.

This West transept window, modeled after Holman Hunt's painting "The Light of the World," was made for Old Christ Church (Seville Square) sometime before 1879, and "remodeled" into its present form in that year. The window was moved intact to new Christ Church in 1903. A replica of the window is being fabricated by the firm of Rambusch in New York City, as part of the restoration of Old Christ Church.

The child Jesus has watched over thousands of baptisms in Christ Church since 1903 from this
window, which is in the font apse near the entrance of the Church, the traditional location for
baptisms for much of Christian history.

Here are two of the patterened windows removed from Old Christ Church
and placed in our "new" Church home in 1903.

Christ Church is a favorite subject for photographers and other artists.
Watch for new additions to the Christ Church gallery!
