Tea at Three – First Thursdays in the Parlor
This popular monthly gathering of adults, both men and women, upholds the ministry of fellowship, hospitality, and good conversation. As the name implies, Tea at Three has no regular program, speaker, or project, other than a weekly occasion to stay in touch with friends new and old in the cozy comfort of our parish parlor. The participants vary from week to week, as do the delicacies on the tea table, but a stimulating, good time is guaranteed. Fr. Hill is always there, and everyone is always welcome. So please drop in!
Contact Rev. Harry Hill at the church (432-5115) for more information.
Christ Church-at-Azalea Trace
As the retirement community with the largest number of Christ Church members, Azalea Trace is the site of a weekly inter-denominational Bible Study, in the Episcopal tradition, led by Fr. Harry Hill and open to all residents. The class meets every Tuesday morning from 10:30 until 11:30 in the sixth floor card room of the Mid-rise Building. We begin with modified Morning Prayer and other prayers of intercession and then follow the format of Fr. Hill’s weekly New Testament class. In addition, the clergy of Christ Church conduct the service of Holy Eucharist, Rite II, once each month on the second Wednesday of the month at 3:00 pm in the Azalea Trace Chapel. Fr. Hill is the primary Celebrant and Preacher, but this worship service is led from time to time by each of our Parish priests.
Worship at Homestead Village
It is a privilege for Christ Church clergy to visit and lead worship in retirement communities where many of our members are currently residing. The schedule for the regular monthly Celebration of the Holy Eucharist is as follows: the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 pm in the sitting room of Building B.
The Bridge Club – members gather every second Monday of the month to play bridge at the Church in the Parlor. If you’re interested please contact Jean Morrison, Chair.
